India’s
Women’s Football Team is all set to face off against Uzbekistan in a thrilling
friendly match. Under the expert guidance of Head Coach Langam Chaoba Devi,

India and
Uzbekistan, currently ranked 66th and 48th respectively in the FIFA
rankings, have a history of 11 previous encounters. India’s crowning glory came
during the 2003 AFC Asia Cup, where they secured a resounding 6-0 victory.
However, the most recent clash in the AFC Olympic Qualifiers Round 2 in
November 2023 saw India suffer a 0-3 defeat.
Despite
the challenging historical record, Coach Langam Chaoba Devi remains steadfast

The
journey to this point began with an initial list of 30 probables. The Blue
Tigresses underwent an intensive two-week training camp at Sreenidi Deccan
FC’s home ground, Deccan Arena. This rigorous preparation culminated in Coach
Langam Chaoba Devi finalizing the selection of the 23 players who travelled to
Tashkent for the scheduled friendly matches. The chosen squad is a strategic
blend of experienced seniors and promising newcomers, reflecting a perfect mix
of experience and fresh talent.
